Windows Vista SP1 was publicly released on 18 March and IT professionals now have a couple options for updating their Windows Vista machines.

If you want to install the update immediately, it is available now in five languages via Windows Update or by going directly to the Windows Download Center for standalone updates of both the X86 and X64 versions.

TechNet and MSDN subscribers can access the Windows Vista SP1 bits in subscriber downloads. There they will find both X86 and X64 standalone versions in the five released languages (English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish). Subscribers can also download the Windows Vista integrated with Service Pack 1 image.

Finally, here are some resources to assist your Windows Vista SP1 upgrade:

- Things to know about Windows Vista Service Pack 1
- Notable Changes in Windows Vista Service Pack 1
- Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Deployment Guide
- Release Notes for Windows Vista Service Pack 1
- Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Support
- Windows Service Pack blocker tool (for organisations that would like to temporarily prevent installation of Windows Service Pack updates through Windows Update)

Hope this information helps.

eBay is to stop its sellers offering digital downloads from the 31st March 2008.

eBay may not be going out of business, but over 100,000 digital product auctions that end each week will be… no longer!

And this doesn’t just affect eBooks… it also includes software downloads, screen savers, graphics… etc.

If you had or were thinking of starting a business on eBay to sell cheap eBooks or reports - then you no longer can.

The eBay forums have been full of activity since this was announced.

One entry says:

I’d be curious to know the number of eBay stores that are out of business effective March 31 AND with no notice. I may not have thousands of FB, but I do have DSR 4.8 and above. What ever happened to fair trade? and where did this come from out of the blue with NO NOTICE WHATSOEVER. (and to top that off, we can’t even discount what we have in our stores (it’s against policy because of the change to “classified” on March 31!!!
Time to work way harder on my website.

…well perhaps it is and one such place to look is SiteBuildIt! and how you can use this powerful set of tools to make sure eBay can NEVER own your business traffic again!
